Connect Claude to live procurement data

One MCP connection, and Claude answers from the source records.

Claude is already where a lot of bid work gets thought through: reading a specification, pulling apart evaluation criteria, arguing with yourself about whether a pursuit is worth the resource. What it cannot do on its own is tell you what the buyer actually bought last time, or who has held the contract for the past six years. That part still means leaving the conversation and going back to the portals.

Connecting Procurement Context closes that gap. It runs over MCP, which Claude supports natively, so the assistant gains access to live opportunity notices, awarded contracts, buyer purchasing histories and competitor win records. You keep asking questions the way you already do. The difference is that the answers now come from the source records instead of from whatever Claude inferred from its training data.

Where this earns its keep is the long question. Give Claude a shortlist of buyers and ask it to work through who has been winning in a category, how often those contracts turn over, and which of them look genuinely contestable. That is a reasoning task sitting on top of a data task, and it goes badly when the model has to guess at the data. Grounded in the actual records, it holds up.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

What is live right now

Open opportunities across every covered portal, filtered by the criteria your team actually qualifies on.

Questions

How do I connect Procurement Context to Claude?
It is an MCP server, and Claude supports MCP directly, so it is a connection rather than an installation. Once it is added, the procurement tools are available in your conversations. Our team sets this up with you as part of onboarding.
Does it work in Claude Desktop, Claude Code and the web app?
MCP is the only interface we provide, so anywhere you can add an MCP server, Procurement Context will run. Which Claude surfaces that covers depends on Anthropic's current support rather than on anything we control. If you tell us how your team uses Claude, we will confirm what will work.
Can Claude just look this up on the web instead?
It can try, and the results are unreliable for this purpose. Procurement portals are not consistently crawlable, award records are often published separately from the original notice, and a plausible sounding answer about an incumbent is worse than no answer. This connects Claude to the records themselves so the sourcing is not in question.
Do other people on my team need their own setup?
Each person connects the server in their own Claude, but there is nothing to deploy and no separate application anyone has to learn. Access is arranged with us rather than through a signup page, so talk to our team about how many people you want covered.
