Connect ChatGPT to live procurement data

One MCP connection, and ChatGPT answers from the source records.

Most bid teams have already tried asking ChatGPT about a buyer or a competitor, and most have been burned by it once. The answer arrives confident, specific and completely unsourced, and by the time someone checks it against the portal the shape of the pursuit has already been discussed as though it were true. The problem is not the model. It is that nobody connected it to the procurement record.

That is what this fixes. Procurement Context is an MCP server carrying live opportunity notices, awarded contracts, buyer purchasing histories and competitor win records, and ChatGPT reaches it through the same conversation you were having anyway. Ask which organisations have bought a category before and from whom, and the response is built from published records rather than from recall. Nothing else about how your team works needs to change.

It also makes ChatGPT useful for the tedious half of the job. Summarising a week of new notices against what you actually sell. Checking whether a requirement has been to market before under a different name. Working out whether the same supplier has quietly held a contract through three renewals. None of that is difficult work, it is just slow, and it is exactly what an assistant should absorb.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

What is live right now

Open opportunities across every covered portal, filtered by the criteria your team actually qualifies on.

Questions

How does ChatGPT connect to procurement data?
Through MCP, which is the only interface Procurement Context offers. There is no plugin to publish and no browser extension involved. Our team walks you through connecting it to your ChatGPT setup.
Does this work with a ChatGPT business or enterprise account?
MCP support in ChatGPT depends on OpenAI's own configuration and on what your organisation's plan allows, which is outside what we control. What we provide is a standard MCP server, so wherever your account can add one it will work. Tell us what your team is on and we will confirm.
Will ChatGPT still make things up about contracts?
It will not need to invent the parts this covers, because the opportunity and award records are retrieved rather than remembered. Judgement calls are still judgement calls, and you should treat them as such. The point is that the underlying facts are no longer guesswork.
Can I use it alongside other tools we already pay for?
Yes, nothing here replaces your existing bid or CRM systems. It sits in the assistant your team already has open, which is usually where the early go or no go conversation happens anyway. Access is arranged through our sales team rather than self-served.
