Connect Microsoft Copilot to live procurement data

One MCP connection, and Microsoft Copilot answers from the source records.

In a lot of organisations Copilot is the only assistant that ever got approved. It is inside the tenancy, IT has signed off on it, and the bid team uses it because using anything else means a procurement conversation of their own. The catch is that Copilot knows your documents and your mail, and knows nothing about what the buyers you sell to have actually been purchasing.

Procurement Context is built to sit on that side of the wall. It exposes live opportunity notices, awarded contracts, buyer purchasing histories and competitor win records through MCP, so Copilot can answer from published procurement sources without anyone standing up a new system. No dashboard gets rolled out, no seats get provisioned in a separate tool, and the assistant your organisation already sanctioned does the work.

For a bid team that matters more than it sounds. The pursuit decision usually gets made in a document or a meeting invite that Copilot can already see, and the missing half has always been the external record: who won this before, how often it turns over, which competitors keep appearing in the category. Having both halves reachable from the same assistant is what makes the question worth asking there at all.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

What is live right now

Open opportunities across every covered portal, filtered by the criteria your team actually qualifies on.

Questions

Does Microsoft Copilot support MCP servers?
MCP support across Microsoft's Copilot products is Microsoft's own to define and it is not something we can speak for. Procurement Context is a standard MCP server, so wherever your Copilot deployment can connect one, it will run. The practical answer depends on which Copilot your organisation has, so tell us and we will confirm.
Will our IT team need to approve anything?
Most organisations treat adding a connector as a change worth reviewing, so plan for that conversation. There is no software to install on endpoints and no separate application to administer. Our team can talk your IT people through what the connection actually does.
Does it read our internal documents or SharePoint?
No. Procurement Context supplies external procurement records only: notices, awarded contracts, buyer histories and competitor win records from public sources. Whatever Copilot already sees inside your tenancy is unchanged by adding it.
How is this different to Copilot searching the web?
Web results give you whatever a portal happened to publish in a crawlable form, which for procurement is patchy and often omits the award side entirely. This is a maintained dataset drawn from the portals themselves. The difference shows up most when you ask who won something, not whether something is open.
