Facilities management contracts in Ohio

Current opportunities, past awards, and the suppliers already winning them.

Ohio spreads its facilities buying across three big metros and a long tail of counties, townships, city schools and public universities. For janitorial, grounds and building systems maintenance, the buyers you want are often the mid-sized ones: steady annual scopes, multi-year terms, and not enough visibility to draw a crowded field. The catch is that those same buyers are the hardest to keep track of, because each publishes on its own schedule and in its own words.

Procurement Context takes that tracking work off your desk. The dataset of solicitations and awards is reachable only through MCP, which means it answers inside Claude, ChatGPT or whatever assistant your team already runs. You ask which universities have gone to market for custodial services, or who holds the grounds contracts across a county, and the reply cites the published records.

Where this earns its place is the go or no-go call. Every facilities firm has more pursuits available than proposal capacity, and the difference between a good year and a mediocre one is usually which pursuits got skipped. Award history shows which accounts have a settled incumbent, which have churned, and which buyers have been adding scope. That is a better filter than a keyword match on an open solicitation list.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

What is live right now

Open opportunities across every covered portal, filtered by the criteria your team actually qualifies on.

Questions

Which Ohio public buyers does this include?
Whichever ones publish publicly: state agencies, counties, cities, school districts, universities and authorities are all in scope where their records are open. Coverage is portal-agnostic, so a missing public source can be stood up quickly. Name your buyers and we will check.
Can I see who won a specific maintenance contract?
If the award itself was published, yes. The record covers the buying organisation, the winning supplier and the value. That is normally the fastest way to work out whether a forthcoming rebid is genuinely contestable.
Is this only for open opportunities?
No, and for facilities work the award side is often more useful. Open solicitations tell you what is happening now, while the award history tells you which accounts are worth positioning for over the next couple of years.
Do I need to log into anything?
Not for this. MCP is the only interface, so it works through the assistant already on your screen. You will still need accounts on whatever portal a buyer uses when it comes time to submit.
