Illinois government contract data, inside your AI

Ask who is buying in Illinois, who has won before, and what they bid.

Illinois has an unusually crowded local layer. Beyond the state agencies and the public universities sit Cook County, the City of Chicago, the transit bodies, the park and library districts, and a large number of townships and special districts that buy independently. A supplier tracking only the state bulletin sees a fraction of the market, and the fraction it sees is not necessarily the part that buys what they sell.

Procurement Context puts those records behind the AI assistant your team already runs. You ask which Illinois entities have bought your category and who won, or what is open across state and local sources this week, and the answer comes from the published solicitations and award records instead of a secondhand summary. State agencies, Cook County, the city and the smaller districts all sit behind the same question, so nothing depends on picking the right portal first.

The questions that matter are the ones about the field, not the form. Whether a district has used the same supplier across several cycles. Whether a bid is a genuine opening or a formality around an incumbent. Which competitors win in Chicago and which win downstate, because they are frequently not the same firms. Getting that read early is what keeps a pipeline honest rather than merely full.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

What is live right now

Open opportunities across every covered portal, filtered by the criteria your team actually qualifies on.

Questions

Does this cover Chicago and Cook County?
Yes, alongside state agencies, universities and the smaller districts and authorities. Local bodies in Illinois publish separately, so they need to be covered as distinct sources. Any public Illinois source that is not already in can be stood up quickly.
Can I search by category rather than by buyer?
Yes. Asking what has been bought in a category, and by whom, is one of the more common uses. You can also come at it from the buyer side and ask what a named agency or district has purchased before.
What do I need to install?
Nothing beyond the AI client you already have. The only interface is MCP, so it connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or another MCP client. There is no dashboard and no separate application to log into.
Does it include contract award values?
Where the buying entity publishes them, yes. The dataset includes awarded contracts, the buyer, the winning supplier and the value. Disclosure varies between Illinois bodies, so some publish more detail than others.
