Who is actually winning contracts in Ireland

Award history, incumbent suppliers and buyer patterns, from the source records.

Award notices in Ireland tell you more than the tender did. A contract award names the winner and the awarding body, and once you have read a few dozen of them a pattern shows up: the same handful of suppliers holding the same framework positions across renewal after renewal. That pattern is the thing worth knowing before you commit a bid team, and it is not visible from any single notice.

Procurement Context makes that pattern something you can query directly. Ask which suppliers have won in your category, which bodies awarded to them, and how often the same names come back. The answer is drawn from the published award records rather than a market summary someone wrote a year ago. No dashboard, no separate login, no report to request from an analyst.

That changes the go or no-go call. Frameworks in Ireland can lock a category up for years, so the difference between a genuinely contestable tender and a re-run with a settled winner is worth an hour of research, not a week of bid effort. Knowing who holds the position, and whether it has already been renewed, tells you which of the two you are looking at.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

Questions

Can I see who won a specific Irish public contract?
Yes, where the awarding body has published the award. The winning supplier, the buyer and the contract value are part of the record. Award notices are the half of procurement data most suppliers never systematically read, and they are usually the more useful half.
Does this cover Irish local authorities and semi-states as well as central government?
Coverage is portal-agnostic, so any public procurement source can be stood up quickly. If a body publishes its awards openly it can be covered. Tell us which buyers you sell to and we will confirm what is already in place.
How far back does the award history go?
It depends on how long the publishing source has been putting awards out and what it retains. We work from what the source makes available rather than reconstructing history that was never published. The practical answer for your category is something we can check with you directly.
What does it cost and how do I get access?
Talk to our sales team. Procurement Context is sold rather than self-served, so there is no trial and no signup form. We scope the buyers and categories you care about before anything else.
