Who is buying, and what is next
What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.
Award history, incumbent suppliers and buyer patterns, from the source records.
Massachusetts does a lot of its state buying through statewide contracts that cities, towns and school districts can then use. That structure means one award decides who is eligible to sell to a great many local buyers, and the interesting question is not only who holds the statewide contract but which municipalities actually purchase against it and from whom. Eligibility and revenue are separate things here.
Procurement Context answers both inside your AI assistant. Ask which suppliers hold positions in a category across Massachusetts buyers, how the work has moved between them, and which local bodies have run their own procurements instead. The answers are drawn from award records, so a claim you are about to build a pursuit around can be checked before you build it.
For a bid team with limited capacity that reordering matters. Chasing every notice in the state is a losing pattern. Working out which buyers have a history of changing supplier, and which have used the same provider for as long as the record goes back, gives you a shortlist you can defend to whoever signs off your bid costs. That is a more honest pipeline than a list of every notice you happened to catch.
