Professional services contracts in the United States

Current opportunities, past awards, and the suppliers already winning them.

Professional services is the category where the solicitation tells you least. Consulting, engineering, program management and advisory work are usually bought on qualifications, so the scoring turns on past performance and named staff rather than price. By the time an RFP is public, the buyer has often already met the firms it expects to see respond. Reading the document alone will not tell you which of those firms you are up against.

Procurement Context puts federal, state and local records behind your AI assistant. Ask which agencies have bought this kind of advisory work, which firms they awarded to, and how often the same names recur, and the answer comes from the source notices and award records. You ask in plain English inside the assistant your team already has open, and the same question reaches federal, state and local records at once.

For a services firm the bid decision is a staffing decision, because a pursuit ties up the same senior people who deliver. That makes the pass call as valuable as the pursuit. Whether an incumbent has held a task order vehicle for three cycles. Whether an agency spreads awards or concentrates them. Whether the scope has drifted since the last competition. Those answers change what you chase.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

What is live right now

Questions

Where are professional services RFPs published in the US?
Federal opportunities appear on SAM.gov, and state and local agencies publish on their own systems, which means there is no single list. Procurement Context covers public procurement sources and answers across them from inside your AI assistant. Coverage is portal-agnostic, so a source that is public can be stood up quickly.
Can I see which consulting firms win government contracts?
Award records are part of the dataset, including the buying agency, the winning vendor and the value. For qualifications-based work that history is the clearest read on who is established with a given buyer. It also shows where a category has few repeat winners.
How is this different from a bid alert service?
An alert tells you a solicitation exists. It does not tell you who has done this work for that agency before or how many times the requirement has been recompeted. Here the open notices and the award history answer to the same question.
Do I need to switch tools to use it?
No. The only interface is MCP, so it connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or whatever assistant your team already uses. There is no dashboard, no separate login and no seats to roll out.
