Civil engineering contracts in Washington State

Current opportunities, past awards, and the suppliers already winning them.

Washington owners use consultant rosters heavily. A city, county, port or utility district posts an annual call for statements of qualifications, builds a list by discipline, and then assigns smaller projects directly from it without further advertising. If your firm is not on the relevant rosters, a great deal of the state's engineering work simply never becomes visible to you as an opportunity, and the annual roster calls are easy to miss because each owner runs its own.

Procurement Context addresses that directly by making published procurement records something you can ask about conversationally. Through your AI assistant you can check which Washington owners have solicited statements of qualifications, which firms they selected for larger projects, and how the work has been distributed. It runs through MCP alone, so it works in the assistant your team already uses rather than adding another login.

For firms working across the state, the practical gain is coverage without headcount. Ports, transit agencies, water and sewer districts, counties and cities all buy engineering, and marine, stormwater and transportation scopes sit with different owners than you might expect. Being able to sweep the whole set with one question means the roster call in a county you rarely work in does not go past unnoticed.

Use cases

Who is buying, and what is next

What an agency has bought, from whom, at what value, and on what cycle. Contracts coming up for renewal are the pipeline nobody has published yet.

Who you are up against

The suppliers who keep winning in a category, with their award history and estimated win rate. Know the incumbent before you commit a team to the response.

What the work goes for

Awarded contract records with values and dates. Price against evidence of what this buyer has paid before, not against a guess.

What is live right now

Open opportunities across every covered portal, filtered by the criteria your team actually qualifies on.

Questions

Does this cover Washington port districts and utility district engineering work?
Coverage follows whichever Washington owners publish publicly, ports, utility and water districts, transit agencies, counties, cities and state bodies included. The approach is portal-agnostic, so a public source we do not yet carry can be stood up quickly. Send through your target owners and we will confirm the position on each.
Can I find annual consultant roster and qualifications solicitations?
Where an owner publishes them, they sit in the same dataset as project-specific solicitations. Roster calls are advertised by the individual owner, which is precisely why firms miss them. Asking across all the owners you care about is more dependable than watching each site.
Which firms have been selected for engineering projects by a specific owner?
Where the selection was published, the record names the awarding body and the firm chosen. Reported values come through when the owner disclosed them. Patterns across several projects tell you whether an owner rotates work or returns to the same firm.
Does it work with Copilot rather than a separate application?
Yes. Copilot is one of the MCP clients it works through, alongside Claude, ChatGPT and any other, because MCP is the only interface it has. There is no dashboard, no separate app, and nothing to learn beyond asking the question.
